FAQs
Where can I get plant medicine / Do you have a contact?
We do not and cannot provide plant medicines or contacts for sourcing, as it is currently illegal to do so. We are actively advocating for legislation to pass through the the Hawaiʻi legislature, which would establish a working group for therapeutic psilocybin in Hawaii. We would appreciate your kokua in staying engaged throughout the legislative process + sharing our bills and action items with your network to garner support.
How can I join the psilocybin task force?
Our team won’t control who sits on the taskforce that the Hawaiʻi State Legislature is considering. Our work is centered around getting SCR100 to pass which would establish a working group to explore the benefits of therapeutic psilocybin. If the resolution passes, the DOH Director would be Chair, and she would be in charge of adding people to the working group.
Are there currently any psychedelic assisted therapy programs in Hawaii? Do you have recommendations for providers?
It is possible to travel somewhere where psychedelic experiences are legal, but Hawaiʻi currently does not legally allow use of psychedelics. Ketamine, however, is legal, and some practitioners offer it, include Dr. Thomas Cook from Beyond Mental Health. You can check out their website for any information and questions.
Are you hiring / do you need volunteer help?
We occasionally seek support, and we will use our Instagram and Email Newsletter to let you know about these opportunities. We have low capacity to manage volunteers, as we are still a small team, but you are welcome to fill out this Get Involved form, and we will keep you in mind for volunteer needs and opportunities.
You can always contact us at team@clarityproject.org for specific questions.
